Empowered Careers, transformed lives.

Transform lives, build careers, and fill Dallas’ critical shortage of electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers.
South Dallas Family

The absence of opportunity

In South Dallas, families find themselves trapped in an unrelenting cycle of poverty. With few high-paying job opportunities and limited access to higher education or vital resources, these families face significant barriers that prevent them from achieving critical milestones, such as homeownership and financial independence. At the same time, the Dallas construction industry is facing a severe shortage of skilled trade workers as experienced professionals retire and fewer young workers enter the field.

Creating Pathways To Success

The South Dallas Coalition helps men and women from disadvantaged communities step into advanced trade careers through a proven pathway of skills training, mentoring, life-skills coaching, financial support, and job placement.
